Managed components for Secure Mail (S/MIME, OpenPGP/MIME, SMTP, POP3 and IMAP for .NET)
If you need to send mail in your .NET Framework application, you can use built-in SMTP classes for this. However, did you really try to do this? The built-in classes are too simplified for real-world operations. But what is worse, they lack mail security (S/MIME) support. And the worst is that SMTPClient class doesn't close the SMTP session, leading to server overload and sometimes to impossibility to send several e-mails to one SMTP server.
SecureBlackbox components solve the above problems completely by offering support for MIME with extensions (S/MIME based on X.509 certificates and OpenPGP/MIME based on OpenPGP keys). You can compose new mail, or parse and modify existing mail messages easily. And SecureBlackbox classes give you complete control over the message structure, even for comlex multipart messages.
With addition of OpenPGPBlackbox you can create, send and parse not just S/MIME messages, but Open PGP/MIME messages as well.
MailBlackbox package includes the component that lets you send messages using SMTP protocol over unsecured connection or via SSL/TLS connection. POP3 component, also included in MailBlackbox, lets you collect incoming mail.
You can use SecureBlackbox with any .NET development tool that supports .NET Framework (4.6, 4.5.1, 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0), .NET for Windows RT, .NET CF (Compact Framework) (3.5, 2.0), Mono 2.0, Silverlight (5 or 4) and Xamarin.Android including Visual Studio 2015, 2013, 2012, 2010, 2008, 2005, MonoDevelop, Delphi Prism.
