Would love to be able to read the NTFS journal to be able to determine INSTANTLY where any file is on the file system. The "everything" engine from voidtools.com is able to do this, and it would be incredible to be able to have this ability within our own programs.
I have an industrial application that can't really be implemented without having access to huge arrays for data storage in the terabytes and petabytes. Since computer memory is not nearly sufficient for these sizes, what remains is SSDs. These are however block based, and I need to be able to access standard data types like integers and quads at high speed and with a minimum of OS interference. I'm sure that if this capability was available, many other software engineers would start to utilize it in their systems. I think it would be a wonderful (and unique !) addition to the RawDisk Product, and it would open up new frontiers for Systems Developers that need this capability in Datacenter software and other large data applications.
