/n software, inc. announces the first beta version of SecureBlackbox 16.
SecureBlackbox 16 is the evolutionary upgrade of the library.
This version includes client-side and server-side components for FIDO U2F (Universal 2nd Factor) authentication. Currently, client-side U2F authentication is supported for USB interface on Windows, Linux and macOS in VCL and .NET editions. Java edition will be added before release. U2F server works on any platform, as it doesn't depend on the hardware.
CRL handling has been reworked to increase processing speed, with TElRawCRL class introduced. Use TElRawCRL when you need to check the status of a single certificate - it's faster and less resource-consuming.
SSH and SFTP components now support X.509 certificate authentication according to the modern RFC 6187.
In .NET edition, we have added classes to replace standard HttpWebRequest with the SecureBlackbox transport. This lets you, in particular, add TLS 1.2 and 1.3 support to earlier versions of .NET (where the built-in classes originally use HttpWebRequest).
In the release version, we will include support for PIV smartcards, and other types of smartcards will be supported in the later updates.

VCL and NG editions of SecureBlackbox 16 include new set of packages for RAD Studio 10.2 Tokyo.

This preview includes only precompiled versions (no source code packages are available yet). Source code downloads will be available with release version.
