I am using the SendNote demo and I am attempting to send a message to another instance of Sendnote in the same machine. I keep getting the "connection failed" message in my OnMessageError handler. The IP address is the same and the ports, as set via MessengerPort are different. What could be going wrong?

This must work fine. The only problem I can see is that you need to restart the transport (stop, then start using Start/Stop button in the sample) to use the new port.

What code pacakge are you testing?

Starting/stopping does not work. Also, I am using the .NET package and the machines I am testing on are Windows XP SP2.

You probably did something wrong as I couldn't reproduce the problem. I've attached the screenshot that illustrates correct settings and shows that those settings work with the latest build of MsgConnect (1.5.7.58).
