Message *forwarding* is a function done with MCMessenger.ForwardMessage() method which you call by hand. You call it when you need. There are no limitations or anything else which would prevent this from working.

Yes, this should work. In all cases, you can create a separate transport for routing the messages. This would probably be more efficient, since you can control it separately.
