I am able to use sendnote between two different android devices. How ever when I try to use the SendNote Demo to send "Test message" to my dev machine the android device ends up showing a timeout.

I have placed a breakpoint within the code of the Java Demo code at
SendNoteForm.Java>queue_HandleMessage Line 503.

After line 503 the control then goes to the catch statement which puts the number 12 in my console window.

Dev Machine: 192.168.0.156
Listening on port: 14583
Sending port: 14584

Android Device: 192.168.0.155
Transport Mode: Peer-to-peer
Listening on port: 14584
Sending port: 14583

I imagine that this exception is merely a i-d-10-t error on my part.
am I using the wrong Transport mode?

Thank you in advance for your time.

It is likely that network connection is not configured properly. First of all you need to check if the sample sends messages to itself (well, it does :).

Next, if you are saying about Java desktop sample and the breakpoint works (as the name of the event handler suggests), then the message did arrive to the server. You need to check what exception was reported.

TransportMode has nothing to do with the problem.

Sincerely yours
