I have an application deployed which originally was designed to run over a network using a socket transport. I now realize that most of my users are actually deploying to same computer and using the loop-back ip address. I was wondering if I should rewrite the transport to include support for MMF or DIR. Can someone please give me the pro/con on doing this...

More reliable?

Regards and thanks

MMF transport is indeed faster than socket transport. Direct transport is suitable only for in-process (cross-thread) communications, and MMF transport is fine for cross-process communication as well. So yes, adding MMF transport is a good idea if you have some time to invest in adding it.
