During the last few weeks, we've been testing the SolFS driver edition latest beta (3?) in our software.
These were small tests, on 2 pc's and a few VMwares.

yesterday, we expanded the internal testgroup to about 10 users.
Today, We got 2 Blue Screen Of Death Messages.
1 on Vista, and 1 on Windows XP pro.

You can download the core dumps (as requested) at the links below.

Vista (Kernel) Memory Dump: (large file)

Xp Memory (small) Dump: (small file)

Of the Vista pc, I don't have the info on the blue screen.

On the XP, the error I received was an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
I'm pretty sure this is related to the SolFS drivers, but I'm not 100% sure.

If you need more info from the XP blue screen, I have a picture available.

I hope you can do something with the memory dumps.

Of course, we can't use these drivers for our official software, and release to our customers.
Is this only an issue in the beta drivers, or is this also possible in the official release drivers?

Thank you. But the first file cannot be downloaded (a zero-byte file has been obtained).

Fixed now.

Please download them again (both, they were both 0 bytes).

We are also still in beta ;-)

I have investigated the dumps. The reason of the smaller crash dump is tosrfbd.sys. As google "said" it's "Toshiba Bluetooth Stack for Windows" driver.
The reason of the second dump is solfs.sys. But because of the release version of the driver was used, we cannot find the reason of the bug (the necessary part of the driver's code was optimized by a compiler). Please could you specify how to reproduce the bug or try to obtain a new crush dump by using the debug version of the driver. Thanks.

I haven't been able to reproduce the bug yet, our team is still testing.
So far, we've only had it once.

We'll send you crash dumps whenever we get any.

I'll send out a new installer to our testers, with the debug version of the drivers.

Thanks for the response!

We managed to get a reproducable bug, resulting in a BSOD (so far, only tested on Vista).
Attached, you can find the BSOD screenshot, and 2 mini Dumps.
We can reproduce this, so if you need a full kernel dump, just ask.

We're using the latest Beta (Debug) Drivers.

It happens when we put files on it trough unison (an open-source synchronizing and backup tool, that we use to replicate files from the server, to the solfs drive on the client)

Thank you. This two crash dumps contain the same bug. We'll check it up now.

Well, thanks in advance...

Any idea on when there will be a new build?
(next week, next month, next year, ...?)

I'm sorry if this seems pushy, but we're investigating whether or not to use your product in our next release.
We can't use your product in that release if it still produces bluescreens, or if we haven't been able to test the new version.

So, it's just for our planning.
I don't need an exact date, but just an idea would be nice.
