The error occurs when I click on the drive letter and beore any files are displayed in the explorer window. I never get the opportunity to select a file before I receive the error.

I am still experiencing this error. This only happens when i use a DYNAMIC storage file. This never happens with a fixed size storage file. I can access and use anything inside of the file. I copied an 700MB video file into it, and watched the entire movie without any problems. I then stop the storage engine, reboot my computer, and then open the storage file. My drive letter appears in Windows Explorer, but once i click on the drive letter, i get the error and nothing inside the file is accessible.

Please help.

Alex Plas asked you a couple of questions that were not answered. Without these questions being answered we can't go any further. We need to find out, what causes corruption. Next, if you can reproduce the issue on the [relatively] small storage file, it would be great. We will be able to find out what exactly happens inside of the storage, and possibly find out why.

Sincerely yours

BTW I don't see you in the list of registered customers, and I don't remember issuing any trial key to you in the last two months. Can you please comment?

Sincerely yours

Hi Eugene,

I'll try and reproduce the error and send you a file. That would be a BIG help!

Attached is a dynamic storage file using SolFSEncryption.ecAES256_SHA256 encryption and the password "password". Inside I placed a single JPG file which I was able to open successfully from within the storage file. I then stopped the storage, then restarted it. My drive letter re-appeared, and when i click on it i get the End of file message. Please help.

Thank you for your report.

First of all, encryption method ecAES256_SHA256 kept only for backward compatibility with SolFS version 2.0. For driver edition of SolFS you should use ecAES256_HMAC256 encryption method. Error that you reported will be checked immediately and fixed in the next public build.
