Hi, today downloaded the new version 5.0 and upgraded from 1.5 version. After upgrading to the new one, lot of issues now facing. I fixed most of the changes as mentioned in the help file release notes.

Now I get Blue screen when ever I delete a file. I'm trying to delete a file inside the storage but solfs returns no such file exists but the file is still there. When I try to force delete then BSOD.

The 1.5 version was very good. The 5.0 seems buggy with some of the functions. Pl help me on deleting the file. Thanks!

Hello Henk,

Do you have a crash dump for this BSOD? If so please place it somewhere in the internet (on a google drive, dropbox, etc) and give me a link to it.
Thanks.

Also please specify the API used (VCL, .NET, C++). Some issues are specific to certain API.

And if the case can be reproduced with the sample project, it would be nice to know this as well.

Our steps to reproduce of BSOD on Windows 7 x64:

1) Create and mount fixed disk
2) Create folder on disk
3) Copy 100+ files
4) Open disk in windows Explorer
5) Try to delete folder

But from the application all things work good (.net version)

Thank you.

P.s. Zip file with dump attached

Hello Eldos Team, Thanks for your reply. Also Sergey thanks for helping me on this issue. In my case, I'm not using fixed disk. Step 2 and 3 is right but I didn't copied 100+ files. Folder with 5 - 10 files. I'm using .NET version.

Tried to delete the parent folder via cmd and usual programmatic deleting methods. CMD hanged and while debugging in visual studio BSOD.

Example:

Test1 --->Parent Folder
Test1\Test2\file.txt
Test1\Test2\bb.ts
Test1\Test2\test.mp3

Tried to delete Test1 folder using CMD and .NET program. CMD hanged and .NET leads to BSOD.

BTW, Sergey can you tell me how you able to delete files and directories in .NET?

I followed your method and getting the BSOD. In my case I'm getting it even through .NET

But I get BSOD if I try to delete a directory recursively. Otherwise it throws "The directory is not empty" exception.

Here is the dump file

We are not using solfs method to delete a directory or file. In previous version (1.5) everything went smoothly. This issue is creating big problem now. Pl release another build with this bug fix soon. Thanks!

Thank you for all details. The issue is confirmed but we need time (several days) to find the exact reason and make a fix.

Hi, Another issue is, Create a folder in the storage using windows explorer. Create another one in the new folder. Rename the 2nd folder you created. Solfs throws an error. "The file in use".

Example:

Create New Folder
Create New Folder\New Folder
Rename New Folder\Testing <---- This throws error "File in use"

Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for clearing that BSOD issue. But still I'm facing an issue while deleting. Now, no more BSOD - Thanks for that. But, Application hangs. Tried deleting via Windows explorer - Explorer hangs, Tried deleting via CMD - CMD hangs.

Many times getting, "Access denied" while closing the mounted storage.
