We are using SolFS as our underlying storage which is accessed by multiple threads for reading/writing files and lots of file tagging. We are experiencing on a regular basis a corrupted storage file but we have not figured out what could be causing this. I understand SolFS has it's own locking and the concurrent access should not be a problem, we never have 2 threads open a file for writing at the same time but it is possible that 2 threads could have the same file opened at any point. Could this be causing an issue? What else could be causing the corruption? Is there a way to find out what the corruption is?

Thanks.

Do you have journalling enabled?

If you mean UseTransactions then yes, it is set to true.

We also have been experiencing corrupt solFS storage and haven't been able to track down the source. UseTransactions are set to true in our app as well. The resolution of this issue would be of interest to me as well.

Thanks

Your problem is completely different one and has no relation to current issue.

You have a driver edition and your issue was driver-specific.

Do you have any insights as to why I am seeing corrupt images? This is a persistent and major issue for us.

I don't know why you are saying this here and we didn't have any reports from you for a month (rather than the strange Vista crash with no memory dump, but that's driver issue, not SolFS engine one).

If you have problems with corruption, please post them to helpdesk.

Sincerely yours

I am posting this here because this is a forum to discuss user issues and topics, is it not?

It just doesn't have much sense: your question and it's discussion is specific to your application and interesting only for you and support. We need storages which obviously can't be posted here.

In case of Dan Cooper the storage is not corrupt (despite the flag says otherwise). Does this give any information to you? I think no. In the same way information about your problem won't be of any interest for others.

Sincerely yours
