I'm using CElSSHClientX in MFC (I need non-blocking mode). I connect my socket, receive the identification string from the host and call DataAvailable. What format does OnReceive expect the data to be in. I'm getting a message box "Invalid argument" when I try to pass the identification string back.

OnReceive expects the data to be in VARIANT format. The value contained in the VARIANT should be array of bytes (variant type VT_ARRAY | VT_UI1).
