Hi,

I am running SecureBlackBox for Delphi v4.4. and getting an error ERROR_SSH_INVALID_PACKET_SIZE from SBSSHClient.pas when connected to a Redhat Enterprise Linux AS4 server.

The method where this error is raised is TElSSHClient.SSH2ParseTransportLayerHeader(). The UNIX command I am running returns about 780KB.

Any advice as to how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Paul

I am sorry to disappoint you, but upgrading to SBB 5.x is the solution. The errors of this kind are almost always caused by incompatibilities with either new or rare SSH servers, and we need to add special support for these servers. Of course we can't backport such support to old versions.

Sincerely yours

Thanks for the quick response, Eugene.

I'm happy to upgrade if this issue is fixed in SBB 5.x. Would the evaluation download include this fix? - I'd like to trial before buying

Thanks,

Paul

Please try the latest build. Build 117 is on the site, and build 118 (5.2 RC2) will be available later today

Thanks Eugene - Build 117 did the trick - problem solved. Great reason to upgrade!

Cheers,

Paul
