L.S.,

Using Delphi XE3 and SecureBlackBox 13.0.277 I wat to validate signed PDF's.

With de PAdESDemo I only get "valid" when I add
handler.IgnoreChainValidationErrors := True;
before
Sig.Validate();
in procedure TfrmMain.RefreshSignatureInfo

I attach the log from PAdESdemo, if you want I can also send you the PDF I use for testing this.

I hope you can tell me what is wrong with the chain and what either the signer or myself can do to correctly validate the chain.

With regards,

Peet Terluin

Thank you for contacting us.

Assistance with validating of individual certificates is available when you have Premium support level. You can purchase Premium support for some time on https://www.eldos.com/support/calc.php .

We have several articles, related to validation of certificates and to diagnostics of possible problems. The articles are:
1) "Validation of certificates in SecureBlackbox (mini-FAQ)" (https://www.eldos.com/security/articles/7545.php ),
2) "Diagnosing certificate chain validation errors when validating a certificate or signature with *AdES components" (https://www.eldos.com/security/articles/7639.php ),
3) "Additional tune-up of retrievers in TElX509CertificateValidator" (https://www.eldos.com/security/articles/8115.php )

You can use these articles for self-help. Your log and the posts on this forum contain enough information for resolving the validation problems.

Sincerely yours
Eugene Mayevski
