We're evaluating SecureBlackbox for some projects we're working on, but it appears to be _extremely_ slow in our tests.

Here's what we're testing:
1. SimpleSSLDemo -- loading various SSL pages
-- using .NET, we're seeing < 1 second load times
-- using SBB, we're seeing 3-4 second load times
(SecureClient.Open() takes about 2 seconds)
(SecureClient.SendData() takes about 1 second)
-- as a side note, loading www.microsoft.com (the
default sample) crashes the test app.
2. SSLSocketDemo -- HTTPS server and client
-- the "server" side seems to run very slowly, both when used with the client and when used with Internet Explorer. It takes a few seconds to respond.

Are we doing something wrong? Or is this a limitation to living in this managed code world? When we use the native SSL code in .NET 2.0, things are screaming fast--but what we really want is cross-platform support (which your solution seems to elegantly offer).

Any advise is much appreciated; we're hoping that your solution works well for us.

That's because TLS1.1 protocol version is enabled in the sample. A lot of servers do not support TLS1.1 correctly (and it seems that Microsoft servers too). Please disable TLS1.1 and you will get the sample working.
