Looks like as of v. 11 SBB makes PBKDF2 publicly available through TElSymmetricKeyMaterial.DeriveKey.

1) Which hash algorithm does that implementation of PBKDF2 use?
2) Is there a way to specify which hash algorithm I want to use?

SHA256 is used.

The algorithm can not be changed at the moment.
