We are trying to get a secure connection set up to our MySql database remotely hosted by a provider.

-Using VB NET Express 2010
-Have downloaded the trial version
-Installed it
-Developed a test harness around it
-Have uid and pass to log into the SSH server at the provider
-Set up the SSH connection and get the SSHForwarding.OnOpen firing so success ... the SSH connection is up and running.
-We left the SSHForwarding.ForwardedPort = 0, from docs we understand that the OS chosen port is communicated back through BoundPort and that port should then be used to connect to the Mysql server

And then we get stuck.
The SSH server is running on the same IP address as the MySql server.
If we understand correctly we should then be able to connect with a localhost connection string as follows

Running the above, we wait ... until the timeout occurs I presume ...

The error message then reads
"Unable to read data from the transport connection: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond."

This is all new to us so maybe we are just setting it up wrong.
Is there a flaw in the above logic ?

Many thanks
