I am attempting to use the sample TinyEncryptor project (unmodified) to encrypt a PDF file using password encryption and am always receive an exception: "Invalid Stream Data". I have tried all algorithms and consistently receive the same error.

I can open the source PDF in Acrobat, so I know it is a valid file. I am using 5.0.0.107 of the SecureBlackBox PDF DLL.

1) Did you try to encrypt just one file? Please try to encrypt some other file. This will let us know whether the problem is specific to the file you tried with
2) Please take some later version. It's always a good idea to use the latest build in order to reproduce the issue easily.

Sincerely yours

1) Interesting... It worked with a different PDF document, but it fails on all PDFs created by Microsoft Reporting services? I'll check the MS forums but if you have any other tips, please let me know.

2) I upgraded to the latest version but it still exhibits the behavior in #1. Perhaps Microsoft is doing something non-standard with the PDF format....wouldn't be the first time.

fyi...I checked the file properties the PDF versions are different. The one that worked is v1.4. The ones created by MS Reporting 9.0 are v1.3.

It was my fault...I had an external image in the PDF and forgot to specify the MIME Type. Now that I specify the MIME type it works very well! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
