Is implementing D10Seattle going to be a big deal? Just wondering how long until I can upgrade my software to D10S. The Eldo update to XE8 took so long that I never switched to it.

You can update the files yourself easily - just modify SecBBox.inc and copy/change the project files. The stuff there is self-explaining.

Sincerely yours

Hi Eugene,

I just tried to install SBB 13 into Delhi 10 Seattle. Seems not "self-explaining" to me.

Could you please attach a modified version of the SecBBox.inc ?!

Best regards!

Delphi 10 packages and defines will be available in Secureblackbox 14, coming in October. Please see more information on https://www.eldos.com/news/8230.php

In fact, the first beta of SBB 14 has already been built and is undergoing its final QA checks at the moment. We hope to make it available for the public within few days.

Thank you for your response.

Will the beta include source code?

I am afraid it won't, sorry.

Let's assess the problem from the other side - what exactly issues are you facing with using SBB from Delphi 10?

On a side note, may I please ask you to attach your license ticket to your EldoS web site account so that we could identify you as a SecureBlackbox licensee and were able to provide you with support of a relevant level?

Sorry had logged in as a wrong user. So, you should now see my assigned license.

I need to know:

1. How to change the SecBBox.inc file. Maybe you can attached one for us to download. What I have done so far is that I have changed "{$ifdef ver290}" to "{$ifdef ver300}". Then I was able to install some packages but some threw errors and when I opened up a new blank project in Delphi 10 it told me that the packages couldn't be loaded.

2. Do I have to install each DPK file after the other independent from their order, or do I have to install the DPKs into Seattle in a specific order. I can't find proper information, wether in the source zip file nor on your website. (Have already searched your website and found blog entries, but there is always said, that one should install the project files, but nothing more.)

Best regards.

Thank you for the details.

It would be easier if we continue the discussion in the help desk. I've created a ticket for you and you'll receive an e-mail confirmation soon.
