How can you detect if a pdf-file is password protected, and if so send an error msg back to the user. (C#)

if (passwordProtected == true)
alert('This file is password protected.');

We do not want to sign password protected PDF-files.

Thanks for any help at all :)

Thank you for contacting us.

You can use TElPDFDocument.Encrypted property to check if the document is encrypted: https://www.eldos.com/documentation/sb...ypted.html

If its 'true' then you can check the type of TElPDFDocument.EncryptionHandler property. It should be equal to TElPDFPasswordSecurityHandler for password protected files.

Also I’ve noticed there is no Support Access Ticket linked to your user account on EldoS site. Technical Support is provided to customers with the linked Support Access Ticket.
