There's SynchronizeGUI property in TElPKCS11CertStorage class. The property is true by default. Please set it to false as soon as possible in your code (right after creation of the class instance and before opening the storage).

Thanks! Setting the SynchronizeGUI property to false before opening the instance fixed the problem.

Note that in this case the event handler is called in context of the slot monitoring thread. You need to pass this event to your main thread somehow and return execution to the monitoring code as soon as possible.

Thanks, wasn't considering that. I protected the critical zone with a system semaphore acting as a mutex.
