Ken,

Thank you for the response. I did want to let you know that I am seeing this behavior not just when I connect with SSH version 3, but even when I connect with version 6 as well. In the server logs, I'm still only seeing the OpenFile being sent down with just "WRITE mode 0666" despite having specified the "SBSftpCommon.Unit.fmOpenOrCreate" flag set.

Alan,

And what version does the server report in its log? Even though your client may support SFTP version 6, the version to use for communication is chosen as the highest supported by both the client and the server, so if your server only supports version 3 the peers will have no other choice but to negotiate that version.
