I try to port Delphi 7 code to XE6. Most of the Unicode Problems I could solve.
One Question.

is the outputstream of a httpsclient a UNICODE or ANSI Characterstream?
HOw can I search the outputstream for a substring like '%PDF' ?
if the stream begins with %PDF then this a PDF FIle, which is stored in the BLOB DB Field.

OutputStream contains exactly what was obtained without any conversion. You can treat the contents as a blob and convert it to anything you need depending on the content type of the received data.

In case of PDF the header marker is 4 bytes.
