Hi,
I have Secure Black Box 5.0.104 which I originally installed on BDS2006.
I just upgraded to Delphi 2007 and I encountered quite a few errors when trying to install SBB on this new version.
Is there an upgrade coming that will solve this?

what problems are you having with the installation? CodeGear promised that the DCUs of BDS2006 will work (and of course the sources will do either).

Well firstly the installation exe only has an option for installing the packages on BDS2006 so you have to try to install the packages manually...

This is correct - SecureBlackbox was released before Delphi 2007.

Of course you are correct: my main question was "is there an update coming?"

And by the way when you manually try to install SecBBoxDx.bdsgroup it causes two problems:

1) SecBBoxDx.bdsgroup contains many references to packages which are not included in the bundle that I bought from you; fix is to ignore the error messages...

2) When you try to install the packages, you get a lot of messages "SBConstants.dcu not found"; fix is to manually add the SecureBalckBox\Sources path the the D2007 library search paths list...

1) The BPG file is for evaluation version only. So there's not much problem there. Just a note: would it be better if we didn't include BPG's at all? That's easy to do...
2) Something is wrong with your files or with your setup. The files in the package are referenced as "SBConstants in '..\Sources\SBConstants.pas'". So if you don't move the files around, the compilation must work smoothly. OR (another reason) CodeGear has broken something in compiler.

Don't get me wrong, we will support Delphi 2007 in SecureBlackbox 5.1. Right now I am installing it in order to include this step to the building process.

I did not move the files around; the .dpk are in C:\Program Files\EldoS\SecureBlackbox\Packages and the .pas are in C:\Program Files\EldoS\SecureBlackbox\Sources -- so the ..\Sources SHOULD work; but it doesn't; you actually have to add C:\Program Files\EldoS\SecureBlackbox\Sources explicitly to the library search path in the IDE, and then it works. So maybe CodeGear doesn't like ..\xx references anymore...

Thank you for letting us know. We will re-check the package compilation procedure with D2007.
