I keep getting a 100354- Communication failed for unidentified reason during sending request or retrieving response, when trying to send an AS2 message to a vendors AS2 server.

I get the message with my code and with the sample AS2 sender program provided by Eldos. When the send is issued, it takes about 15 to 20 seconds and then returns the 100354 error. The Vendors AS2 server is supposed be listening on port 4080.
When I telnet to the port, I do get a response from their server, so it appears to be listening. Is there any way to log what is happening during the send command?

The following URI is what I am calling, per their AS2 profile they sent.

To test the vendor's server further, I downloaded a demo version of an AS2 server product that is able to establish a connection and get a receipt from it.

Thank you for contacting us.

Error code 100354 stands for SB_HTTP_ERROR_REQUEST_NOT_COMPLETED. This error happens when server doesn't send any response to client request or its response it not full.

Is there any way to log what is happening during the send command?

Yes you can handle next TElAS2Client events: OnData, OnDocumentBegin, OnDocumentEnd, OnPreparedHeaders, OnReceivingHeaders. These event handlers will let you know what happens on both send and receive stages.

I added logging to the event handlers you listed and executed my code. The only event handler that fired off was the OnPreparedHeaders. After it executed I got the "100354" error. The Prepared headers listed are the following:

Host: bpsedi.basspro.com:4080
Content-Length: 1198
AS2-From: "Waste Disposal Solutions"
AS2-To: "Bass Pro Shops"
AS2-Version: 1.0
Date: Fri, 13 Dec 2013 09:24:02 GMT
Message-ID: <201312130924020058@07017189>
Content-Type: multipart/signed; protocol="application/pkcs7-signature"; micalg=sha1; boundary="----=_NextPart_319_5834_4162103916904861"
Connection lost (error code is 100354)

Could it be a handshake or a protocol negotiating issue? Clients admin says they do not see the attempted connection.

I recommend you to use Wireshark to dump the data exchange. Currently it looks like TElAS2Client sends the request and server doesn't respond for some reason.

Could you attach the full log here or post it via Helpdesk. Attached log doesn't give much information.

OK could you attach a log exported from Wireshark to a file.
