Hello,

i try to upload a file with some chars like: ä,ö,ü

Example: ä.png

In the FTP Log i see:

FTP command: Client "<ip>", "OPTS UTF8 ON"
FTP response: Client "<ip>", "200 Always in UTF8 mode."

FTP command: Client "<ip>", "STOR ?.png"
FTP response: Client "<ip>", "150 Ok to send data."

ExtOPTSUTF8Supported returns: true

i also try:

Code
this.FTPSClient.RemoteCharset = "utf-8";

Somebody have any other idea?

Thank you :)

Hi. Which IDE/language do you use, and what happens on the other side? These symbols are removed from the file name, or wrong, or whatever else?

Hi,

I use:

Libs in Version 11
Visual Studio 2012 with C# .NET

the file gets stored as: ?.png instead of: ä.png (so: wrong)

so there must be a problem on the upload i think.

Does this happen with SimpleFTPDemo? .NET should support unicode/utf8 without any problems. To make sure that the correct file name is sent you can use Wireshark to sniff what is sent in command channel in STOR request. File name is sent in this request, not during the data transfer.

I hope i can`t sniffe .... it`s a TLS 1.2 connection.

This is from the server log:
FTP command: Client "<ip>", "STOR ?.png"
FTP response: Client "<ip>", "150 Ok to send data."
