Hi,

I'm using both the ActiveX and .Net versions of secureblackbox sftpclient and when I try to connect to a certain server I get error code "11" with both versions.

What can this be?

I'm using standard password authentication and FileZilla can connect just fine to the same server.....

I'm using secureblackbox .NET 8.2.197 and ActiveX 5.2.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for contacting us.

11 error stands for ERROR_SSH_INVALID_PACKET_SIZE. Please try to follow next steps: https://www.eldos.com/security/articles/4796.php If this doesn't help you may try to use the latest components version as both SFTP protocol and our components are improved from time to time.

Hi!

thanks for the quick response. I already looked into the suggestions which are stated on that page and so far no luck....

How can I get the latest components? ...is there some way I can check if I have the latest version of my release?

If it's the server of JP Morgan Chase, then we have an answer in the FAQ for it (and search will also reveal the answer in this forum).

99,9% of problems are solved by guessing parameters for various properties. If you can share the server address with us (possibly in HelpDesk), we can try to find those parameters for you.

The problem exists at a client of mine and I'm afraid they don't want me to share the server address.....I will experiment with properties myself....do you have any suggestions about which properties I might change?

All algorithm-related properties, then all buffer-related ones one by one. There are millions of combinations so without having access to the server you are out of luck, that's for sure. We know how to speed up the procedure, but that's an expert knowledge which is intuitive (based on our experience) and can't be formalized in the answer.

I have permission from my client to give you the server information.

How can I give you this info without posting it on the public forum?
