Hello.

This is a repost of the problem reported here (just with an account with lisence ticket - sorry for any inconvenience):
https://www.eldos.com/forum/read.php?FID=7&TID=4358&MID=24247#message24247

I am trying to modify your sample on remote signing:

SecureBlackbox.NET\Samples\C#\PDFBlackbox\ASPNet_Distributed\DCWeb.sln

I want to sign a PDF document inside a specific signature field (remotely).
I create some signature fields inside a PDF file on the server and then I want the client to sign inside them remotely using the Java applet.

As far as I saw, the demo project doesn't sign inside signature fields and I've tried changing the PreSigner code to :

signature = doc.get_Signatures(doc.AddSignature(0)); // Added the 0 to sign in the first signature field.

However, when I use:
signature = doc.get_Signatures(doc.AddSignature());
...a signature gets added (visible in the Acrobat Signature Panel), while when I use:
signature = doc.get_Signatures(doc.AddSignature(0));
...I don't see any signatures added (neither inside the signature fields nor in the Acrobat Signature Panel).
It seems that the PDF has been modified, but I don't see any signature.

I've just tried changing the signature.Invisible = true; to false, but I saw no difference.

You have already created a ticket for me in the Helpdesk:
https://www.eldos.com/helpdesk/ticket_edit.php?login=yes&ID=22604

I would like to know the progress on this issue and, if possible, the estimated time for it to be resolved.

Thanks.

Please hurry with this issue.
We need to have the code working soon.
Should we wait for a solution any time soon?

Thanks.

Hello.

Our team developer has recieved this answer in ticket 22604:

"We are still investigating this issue. And there is no ETA on this at the moment."

We want to support multiple signatures allowing signers to add comments in fields of the PDF.
What do you suggest in this direction?

Hello,
probably we want use the same thing - add signature to first field by this code

Code
doc.AddSignature(0);
signature.Invisible = true;

but there is no text in first signature field after sign.

Is there any change in this issue?

Thanks.

Thank you for contacting us.

If you create an invisible signature you don't need to place it in existing signature field (call AddSignature method without parameter).

If you need to place own text in a signature field, then set Invisible property to false. And please check if you have set TElPDFSignature.WidgetProps.IgnoreExistingAppearance property to true. By default, TElPDFDocument leaves existing signature widgets (blank signature field is a signature widget too) unchanged.

There was an issue related to signature field option that requires to lock specific fields after signing. Support of this was added some time ago.

Thanks for your reply. I set IgnoreExistingAppearance and signature text showed.
