I'm new to BlackBox and I'm a bit confused over the Active property to TEISimpleSFTPClient.

The docs says that "...if Active is false, the tunnel has not been created and you should not call object methods".

Well, what's the app supposed to do if Active is false.. Treat it as an error? Wait a while and check it again later?

The "use case" of Active being false is not very clear to me..

Any insights would be appreciated.

Thank you for contacting us.

Well, if you don't see any use in such property, then just don't use it :). Seriously, there are plenty of properties in the component which are not used in 95% of cases. In particular, Active property is not much useful either and was added as a convenient method to check if the component is namely active OR if there's a need to use Open method and establish connection first.

Sincerely yours
