Hi all,

Is it possible to upgrade a PKCS#7 signature to CAdES using TElCAdESSignatureProcessor object?

PKCS#7 is a common abstract ancestor for CMS and CAdES signatures; this way every CAdES signature is a PKCS#7 signature but not the other way round.

You can only use TElCAdESSignatureProcessor for upgrading if the source signature is at least CAdES-BES (i.e. it contains content-type, message-digest and signing-certificate attributes). Upgrade is not possible if any of the above attributes is missing, as there is no computational way to insert them to existing signatures.
