I'm trying to get the Java Applet (Distributed Cryptography add-on) to access the digital certificate on a token. In the documentation'm driven configure the JRE provider inserted in the configuration file java.security, follows the inserted row:

security.provider.7 = sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11 safesign.cfg

Safesign.cfg The file is in the same directory java.security file and its content is:

name = Starsign
library = C: \ windows \ syswow64 \ aetpkss1.dll

When running the applet on the page the following error is reported:

Error parsing configuration

I can not see problems in the setup steps. And plus, my operating system is 64-bit JRE and I have 64 and 32 bit, I realized that the applet uses the configuration file of 32-bit JRE, correct?

Thank you.

Actually questions about configuring security providers must be addressed to Oracle, not to EldoS Corporation. This is because the applet does not parse any configuration and works with JRE.
Maybe it's required to specify full path name to the token configuration file.
I can only provide parts from my configuration files that do work on my Windows 7 x64 system.
From java.security:
security.provider.7=sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11 c:/temp/etoken.cfg

Content of the specified etoken.cfg:

Hope this will help you to configure your JRE.

Just to inform to others who may come across this same problem, the message:

Error parsing configuration file

is used for various other errors and not only to address issues of file structure.

In my case, the DLL is in the SysWOW64 drive, and solved the problem by referencing the System32:

C: \ windows \ system32 \ aetpkss1.dll

That is, the provider could not locate the DLL and reported such a generic error.

Thank you.
