License Key Concern

Im considering purchasing a license to use SFTP server.

However i am concerned that the licence key needs to be placed into the source code.

In .NET languages this can easily be decompiled and used by whoever i distribute the software to.

Is there something i am missing or is this just a risk i need to take?

Thank you for interest in our products.

This is *a risk to take*. If you don't want to do this then you can re-compile our source code that you will receive after a license purchase. After recompilation it will not perform license checks.

Sorry i dont get how recompiling the source code will prevent license checks?

Are the Dll's supplied after a licence is purchased different than those supplied with the evaluation?

Do they no longer need the SBUtils.Unit.SetLicenseKey("");

The sources doesn't contain a code that is responsible for license checks. SetLicenseKey() still exists but its just a stub, so yes you don't need it.
