Hello, I've tried your CloudBlackbox product and it's doing exactly what I need - transfer and store encrypted files to/from cloud while maintaining file integrity. However it requires connecting directly to Azure Storage Account (providing account name and a key).

I'd like to use Shared Access Signature instead of account name+key. Is that possible?

Also, is there a possibility to split big transported file to blocks and upload the blocks in parallel or even restore interrupted transfers and start from the last successfully transferred block?

Thank you,

Radek

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

All methods of TElWinAzureDataStorage class have overloads that accept the SharedAccessSignature parameter. This allows you to authenticate requests of any kind with a shared access signature instead of generic credentials.

Unfortunately, not at the moment. As an option, please consider splitting big files into smaller individual objects. You will be able to upload them in parallel and restore interrupted transfers in this case.

BTW one of options to address large file storing is to use our Solid File System product. It offers a virtual file system which you can keep in cloud services, and each page ("cluster") of the filesystem can be stored in a separate object of the cloud storage. SolFS has its own encryption mechanisms (if needed).

Hi Eugene, thanks for your comment. Should the Application edition be enough or do I need to use OS edition? Also, is there a sample showing the approach you're proposing?

In your scenario Application Edition would be enough. We have an article about callback mode in the knowledgebase. There's also a sample included in the installation yet only for .NET (principles are the same in all APIs in fact).
