Hi

I want to remember a TElX509Certificate selected by the user (every time the program starts the certificate must be assigned again).

What is the better way to do this ?

Regards
Robert

If the certificate is in external file, you can remember just a file name.
If the certificate is located in Windows certificate storage or on smart card, then you need to save the certificate's public key hash (use TElX509Certificate.GetHashSHA1() method). In case of smart card (if you access the certificate using TElPKCS11CertStorage class) you also need to save device identifier (see TElPKCS11Module.UniqueID property).

To find the certificate by hash use TElCertificateLookup class.

See SecureBlackbox knowledgebase for details about using lookup class.

Sincerely yours
