Does Silverlight API have ElPKCS11CertStorage class or any alternative? In other words, can we access to USB token ceritificates via Silverlight API?

Unfortunately, no, cause Silverlight doesn't have access to platform-native APIs (needed to load and call PKCS#11 DLL).

Hello John Roeck,

did you find a solution for your problem; maybe an out-of-browser solution?

Would you share it?

Silverlight 5 should get P/Invoke support, and there we'll be able to add both PKCS#11 and CryptoAPI support. Also they promise unrestricted access to the filesystem (for trusted applications).

As far as I can see there is support enabled for Silverlight 5 applications. There is an article about that on CodeProject (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/silverlight/PInvokeSilverlight5.aspx). What are possibilities to use it with ElPKCS11CertStorage? Is there something that we can do already now, or we have to wait for next release of SecureBlackBox?

Assemblies for Silverlight 5 RC are compiled with PKCS#11 support *enabled*, so you can try using it with regular PKCS#11 proxy DLLs. Yet there can be various security restrictions. If you come across problems, we'll solve them.
