If you use public key authentication then you should check using debugger if private key is loaded with Key.LoadPrivateKey correctly. This code will not load it if the key is password protected.

"I received a PPK" is absolutely not enough to make the component use it. Please modify a call to LoadPrivateKey() in the sample to include your password. After a call is made, insert a check for the error code this call has returned. Eg.:

Code
i : integer;
...
i := LoadPrivateKey('PathToPPK', 'Password');
if (i <> 0) then
  ShowMessage('Error ' + IntToStr(i));

Sincerely yours

i tested

i := Key.LoadPrivateKey(frmConnProps.edPrivateKey.Text,frmConnProps.EditPasswordC.Text);
if (i <> 0) then
ShowMessage('Error ' + IntToStr(i));

i return 0
