Hello,

There seem to be a number of problems with the SBB 8.2 packages for D6.

1/ When I try loading the SecBBoxB6.bpl project group, I get a number of errors like this one:

---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
Interface not supported

Unable to create project W:\WINEUR\LIB\SecureBlackbox\Packages\BaseBBoxB6.bpk. This project will be removed from the project group.
---------------------------
and then end up with an empty project group.

2/ When I try to compile and install ZIPBBoxD6, the compiler blows up with the following error:

[Fatal Error] SBArcZip.pas(6592): Internal error: URW699

After that, the IDE must be restarted for anything else to compile. This error extends to all packages that ZIPBBoxD6 depends on (OfficeBBoxD6 only, as far as I could tell). It also manage to generate a corrupted BaseBBoxD6 package.

None of this is blocking, at least for me.

Thank you for contacting us.

You should load SecBBoxD6.bpl, because SecBBoxB6.bpl is for C++Builder.

This is a compiler error. Try to restart an IDE and it will disapear.

Ah, my mistake. Sorry.

Unfortunately, it doesn't. I've restarted the IDE several times (no choice: once the error occurs, the internal state of the IDE is compromised and will either fail to compile anything else or generate corrupted code). The error persists even if:
- The IDE is restarted.
- All DCU, BPL and DCP files are deleted and the packages rebuilt.
- The package is build on its own.
- The package is build as part of a project group.
- The user threaten to throw compiler, IDE and computer out of the window.

Again, this isn't blocking for me (I have other libraries for ZIP and ZLib) so no pressure on my part.

Do you have any Delphi updates installed? If yes please post a list of updates here.

Well, we have compiled the packages (for evaluation version) on our side so the code is compilable. Unfortunately there's a problem with some Delphi updates which can produce such side effects.

To make sure that the problem is caused by updates, please download and install the evaluation version from http://www.eldos.com/sbb/download-release.php try using it. If you have different set of updates, compiler will tell you that some files are newer than expected.

Sincerely yours
Eugene Mayevski
