I am trying to connect the ElHttpsClient to a socks5 proxy server.

I have of course verified that:

* socksserver name is correct
* socksport, socksusercode, sockspassword are correctly set
* UseSocks=true, with socksversion=socks5

No matter the combination of parameters I try, no matter the URL I try to reach (https or http) I always get the same error: 96260.

I use ElHttpsClient.Post(URL,Params). I tried empty params (to avoid any urlencode issue), an https:// url, a http:// url ... nothing works !

What other parameters must be set to use socks5 ??

The error SB_SOCKET_ERROR_INVALID_ADDRESS is reported when the name can not be resolved. There's no difference in error reporting for addresses for the end server and SOCKS server, so it's not possible to definitely say, which address causes problems.

Also, it's not a code-related problem as the code works fine for many users for different proxies. I.e. the issue is specific to your set of parameters. So in order to understand, what's going on on your side, please give us (a) a piece of code that sets component parameters and performs the call (to see the URL and check whether the URL is parsed right) and (b) the exact version number of SecureBlackbox that you are using.

If some of the data is confidential, please post them to HelpDesk

Sincerely yours

Ok I will open a ticket on helpdesk because both proxy server adress and URL to be reached respond to a ping command.
