Hmm, it appears to be an S3 engine-specific behaviour... It also seems to be specific to particular S3 servers you are using, as our attempts to delete a non-existing item always result in 403 statuses. Probably, you will have to add an extra checkup for object existence after the DeleteObject() call to ensure that the object has actually been deleted.
