We wanted to test SecureBlackbox VCL before buy so we downloaded FPC and Delphi trial editions. Delphi edition working fine - examples are working.
For our software we better use FPC edition for linux.
We have 2 problems with FPC edition
1. It is impossible to use SB FPC components on FPC version other than 2.4.0 - when we use newest FPC version 2.4.2 we get error: "PPU Invalid Version 100"
We installed version 2.4.0 then error disapear.

2. We wanted to write simple FPC program opening pdf file, signing and saving signed pdf but library raises exception "Bad document trailer" in instruction Document.Open(TFileStream).
When we write the same code in Delphi on the same pdf document everything is OK.

Used code for FPC(win32), FPC(linux) and Delphi and testing PDF I'm sending as attachement (zip) to this post.

Hi Mariusz,

We work also on FPC, and no problems with PDF's here.

Have you tried lastest 8.2.195 build? they've made some fixes there. I've just tested to sign the pdf you attach on FPC and everything went ok, just to let you know.

Thank you for your interest in our products.

1. Thank you for reporting this. We will update the distribution with FPC 2.4.2 compatible units.

2. Please try the latest 8.2.195 build available on the site. Thanks to Santiago's assistance we have introduced several FPC-related fixes to the PDF implementation in it.

I tested linux version with newest available on download page version 8.0.174 FPC units and still not working when geting pdf contents into Document.Open (Bad document trailer)
Is possible any incomatibilities between windows and linux FPC implementation of TFileStream? Maybe there is a problem...

My testing linux machine is:
uname -a
Linux server #2 Tue Nov 13 14:51:29 CET 2007 i686 athlon-4 i386 GNU/Linux

Free Pascal Compiler version 2.4.0 [2009/12/28] for i386

FPC compile params:
fpc -Sd /home/software/pdfsign/pdf.lpr -Fu/home/software/pdfsign/SecureBlackbox/linux_32

Is there any possibility to upgrade trial linux FPC version from v8.0.174 to v8.2.195?
