Hi,

How to install components (SecureBlackbox.PKI.dll) without using GUI installer?

We are planning to ship SBB with our app installer. We are using SecureBlackbox.PKI.dll dll. Is it possible to just copy this dll with SecureBlackbox.dll in our app installer? Or do we need to register it using regsvr32.exe?

We don't want to use SBB's gui installer.

Thanks,
rsm

IF you are asking about ActiveX:

Most installers let you register the DLL automatically when installing it. If your installer doesn't register the DLLs automatically, then you need to call regsvr32 manually.

There's no need to use SecureBlackbox GUI installer at all.

IF you are asking about .NET:

If you want to install assemblies to GAC, you can call gacutil.exe (it's from .NET Framework).
Some installers support installing the assemblies to global assembly cache.
You can also just copy the assemblies to your application folder.

Remember, that you need to ship not just SecureBlackbox.PKI.dll, but also SecureBlackbox.dll, which contains all cryptography.

Sincerely yours
