I am surprised by the large size of the executables generated when include SecureBlackBox units. For example, the FilesExample.exe, when compilted with Delphi 7, totals almost 2.2 MB, and all it does is encrypt or decrypt a file. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for your interest in our products.

Behind a basic "encrypt and decrypt a file" statement lies the following functionality:
1) support for a number of symmetric ciphers (CAST5, AES, 3DES, DES, Blowfish, Twofish, IDEA),
2) support for a number of hash algorithms (SHA1, SHA2, MD5, RIPE-MD),
3) support for ZIP, ZLIB and BZIP2 compression algorithms,
4) support for storing of multiple files in a single OpenPGP file (TAR directory),
5) support for RSA, DSA and Elgamal public key cryptosystems,
6) armoring and dearmoring capabilities,
7) support for all existing versions, editions, subversions, features and bugs of third-party OpenPGP software for the sake of maximized compatibility,
8) comprehensive OpenPGP key infrastructure support,
9) support for exotic key types, such as X.509-based OpenPGP keys,
10) support for self-extracting (SFX) files.

Hope, I have answered your original question.
