Are the SBB dll's self-registering?

I use Installshield to disribute my product. I just upgraded my PC to Vista and there are problems with Installshield extracting COM data so I changed Installshield to not extract COM data but instead set the self-registering property for the SBB dll's. Installshield builds the distribution file but when I install it I get an "Invalid packet" error when trying to connect.

Any suggestions?

Assuming that you are asking about ActiveX edition...

Yes, if InstallShield is capable of calling DllRegisterServer function from the DLL, then this will work. Note, however, that the DLLs must be installed and registered in certain order:

PKIBBox*.dll (where present)
SSLBBox*.dll (if used)
SSHBBox*.dll (if used)
SFTPBBox*.dll (if used)
PGPBBox*.dll (if used)

Sincerely yours

Thanks. Now I just have to figure out how to set the order in Installshield.
