Hi,

im saving a private key to a registry like this.

ElCertificateRequest.SaveKeyToStreamPEM(buffer, "mypassphrase);

i get this:

-----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
Proc-Type: 4,ENCRYPTED
DEK-Info: DES-EDE3-CBC,7D636FB5F151E460

-----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

ive noticed it says DES, does this mean that the private key has been
encrypted with DES algorithm?
is there a way to encrypt it in AES?

Thanks,
Chris

Thank you for contacting us.

PEM format only supports DES and 3DES ciphers. You can encrypt the key with AES algorithm manually using low-level symmetric components (TElAESSymmetricCrypto and TElSymmetricKeyMaterial).
