This week I received the OpenPGPBlackbox VCL-components (with sourcecode).

As I understand it from the helpfile, SetLicenseKey('...') is not necessary when we can recompile/rebuild the sourcecode ourselves. I have tried the example files with and without the given setlicensekey and see no difference at all. It just keeps on working. As I see it, the SetLicenseKey is only necessary when using precompiled delphi code (.dcu) as found in the evaluation version.

Is this a correct understanding of SetLicenseKey?

Yes, the precompiled version requires the license key to be set in order to work.
The version of SetLicenseKey() function in the source code is empty, so calling it makes no change.

Sincerely yours
