Need to SSL encrypt kbmMW streams, so I am looking at SBB SSL as an option.

Using evaluation version of SBB 7.0.156 with Borland Developer Studio 2006 and Indy 9. Trying to use SSL comps in C++ builder personality, but am installing comps using delphi personality.

Ran the setup fine, basic SSB comps showed up fine. However, had several issues with kbmMW support comps:

1. Per the help, I tried to build and install SSLBBoxSrvIndy9DX.dpk. The eldos supplied project file had a "bind.res" entry that could not be found? I removed this and compiled...delphi wanted to add "dclindy" to the requires list, so I allowed it. The comps installed ok.

2. Per the help, I tried to build and install sbkbmMWIndy9DX.dpk. It said "Indy100 not found". Changed that to just Indy and recompiled. Got "kbmMWRunD10" not found. Changed that to "kbmMWRunD2006Ent" and recompiled.
Got "file not found: SBIndySSLServerIOHandler.dcu". I added both the "server" and "client" directories to my lib path.

3. Now when compiling sbkbmMWIndy9DX I get:
"File not found: SSLBBoxSrvindy9DX.drf" and about 20 other errors like:

[Pascal Error] SBkbmMWIndy9Plugin.pas(58): E2003 Undeclared identifier: 'TkbmMWCustomTCPIPIndyServerTransport'

[Pascal Error] SBkbmMWIndy9Plugin.pas(58): E2015 Operator not applicable to this operand type

Why am I unable to build and install SSB successfully for use with kbmMW??

Thanks!

Thank you for contacting us.

The components for kbmMW were not updated for some time. We will definitely need to do this asap. Regarding your particular question: it looks like the code for Indy 9 is compiled (this is what the name SBkbmMWIndy9PLugin suggests). I can't say at the moment why this happens, but that's the reason. I will ask one of developers to check the components and maybe we will make some quick update (a separate download for those components).

Sincerely yours

I added several indy required units and made a "fake" DPR file and got it all to compile. I'll see if it works or not and let you know!

I assume you still support kbmMW??

Thanks Eugene!

It does not seem to work? When I added the plugin and iohandler, and I assigned the plugin to the indy transport, I get immediately get this:

"Access violation at ..... in module sbkbmMWIndy9DX.bpl"

I also get this when trying to assign the iohandler to the "ClientHandler" property of the plugin.

These tests are all in Delphi personality.....

Please hold on until tomorrow, - our developer is already working on upgrading the classes and we expect to make an update for these classes tomorrow.

Hi. Please specify, which version of kbmMW you are using (we are testing with 2.80, it's just to be sure that you have the same).
And, are you sticked to Indy 9, or using it just because SBB kbmMW plugin supports (for now) only this version?

I've used kbmMW 2.80 in the past, and am currently trying 3.01.

Since I use c++ builder, I am using Indy9....

Thanks!

Hi, sorry for a delay. We need to negotiate one issue with kbmMW support, so waiting for their answer.
