Me again :D I'm sending a file to a bank and they get this error.
(3034:file is marked for your eyes only, ignoring output)
(3137:eyes only option not specified, discarding output)
Failed Pgp_decrypt il00240/test.pgp, rc= 164
I have to tailor my encryption to meet their pre-set decryption, so I have to turn off "for your eyes only", but I don't know how. Can you help?
Thank you!

Please do the search for this message through the site. You will get the FAQ article and a couple of forum posts from those, who don't read FAQ ;)

I actually did search the site before posting and have already set the filename and still have the issue.
That's why I'm asking here. Maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing. I've searched the phrases "for your eyes" and "eyes".
Please help. Our company purchased this product and has had a tough time getting it to work when other PGP software is involved. It works fine when encrypting and decrypting within PGPBlackbox...

This is close to impossible. Can you please encrypt some file with test PGP keys (taken from <SecureBlackbox>\PGPFiles) and send us the file?

Also, did the problem appear recently or it was present? I.e. can it be just build 91-93 problem? If so, upgrading to build 94 or downgrading to build 90 should help.

I'm running version 4.2.0.76... I'll update and see if that changes anything.

Hi, I'm also having the same problem.
One of our customers is complaining that they can't automate their side because they get a message from their PGP software saying "For Your Eyes Only" and requires them to manually answer some questions before they can decrypt the file.
Our company just purchased the Eldos SecureBlackBox.NET professional package last month.
I'm running on version 9.1.214.

How do I fix this issue for my version?
If I need to get a newer version, how do I get it?
The download section only contains 9.1.215.

Thanks,
Derek

Have you set the filename? Use your own code to encrypt the data for test keys provided in <SecureBlackbox>\Extras\PGPKeys and try to decrypt it.

I have code (not Eldos sample code) that uses a customer's public key to encrypt a text file and, of course, I set the output file name as part of the application's processes. It saves the file to disc and they pick it up from an SFTP site.
Now then, when they try to decrypt it, it gives them the "for your eyes only" message.

I see from the previous person's thread on this that there is an issue with the particular version of SecureBlackBox.NET that I'm using.
How do I get the right version, preferably 9.4 as you indicated?

Unfortunately you are missing the point. Setting Filename is not about output filename. If you check search results for this message, search will take you to the knowledgebase article.
