when i try to compile sshblackbox client terminal example. all the component i had installed,it can open sshterminal.dpr.but when i try to compile it ,a messagebox pop up.it says "expected ')' but an identifier found" .

.it stay here.
what does this mean?i search the internet,but nothing found.what's the matter?how to run this example"terminal"

First, would you be so kind to specify the version of Delphi you are using?

Second, on what exactly line (of the two ones you have specified) and position the error is reported?

i use delphi 7 and the position is

before " Written: Integer);" 。

Seems like a compiler bug. Please try to replace the {$ifdef}...{$endif} section with a single out modifier:

procedure ElSSHClientReceive(Sender: TObject; Buffer: Pointer;
MaxSize: Integer; out Written: Integer);
