We recently upgraded 4 of our servers from HPUX 11.0 to RHEL 4.4 and bought a lab system.

I was updating the key pairs to use with SecureBlackBox and found I had issues connecting.

So, I downloaded the latest version of SBB (6.0) and used the SimpleSFTPClient (and SSHClient) to try and connect to the upgraded servers. I have no issues with a direct connection in SFTP or SSH to the test system. However I cannot connect at all to the 4 upgraded servers.

I get the following error when trying to connect:

Connection failed due to exception: Connection lost (error code is 10053)

I am using OpenSSH_3.9p1 on all systems.

I did compare the sshd.config files on all systems and they all match.

I can connect to the production servers using other SSH clients and with WinSCP, but cannot connect at all with the demo clients.

I did also tail -f the /var/log/messages files and do not see the connection even being attempted.
