in pascal source, it seems there is statically linked the crypt32.dll !
I cannot use it in our project, it is guarded not to use any statically linked .dll.

I think it is in W2k not in Win NT 4.0.

*our policy is not to use statically linked at all*

Yes, several system DLLs (crypt32.dll, ole32.dll, advapi32.dll and kernel32.dll, to be exact) are linked statically. Actually, I see no reasons for linking *all* the used DLLs dynamically. The above DLLs are deployed along with Windows OS and thus are always accessible.

AFAIR, CryptoAPI (which includes crypt32.dll) is deployed to NT 4.0 by the installation of Internet Explorer 4.0. If you are able to use CAPICOM, then CryptoAPI is definitely installed (CAPICOM uses CryptoAPI internally).
